I had a dream where these people were after us to get back at my partner. I was running away from these people with my son (but I don’t have children in my waking life) when we got down stairs I was carrying him up a hill but he felt so heavy and I had trouble carrying him. The next thing I knew one of the men chasing us shot him three times and he died in my arms. They also shot me three times in the head but I survived. I remember crying and feeling angry because I lost my child. Soon I was in this room which felt like I was hiding. I saw that I had Ada’s and Mario’s ceremonial head dresses and began crying thinking they had been shot too. I put the head dresses together and my ceremonial group walked through the door. My heart felt at ease. We began coordinating a ceremony and as we were walking Sayuri tells me “do you want to offer Tonantzin” (a dance dedicated to the earth) I said yes. Later in the dream a man walked up to me and it felt like we were in a new relationship and he asked me if I wanted to support him in Sundance ceremony in February. Being eager I said yes and asked what dates in February because I was thinking in my head “I can’t miss Kirby’s birthday”
